Josh’s interests have taken him through a less conventional path beginning with studying photography, working as a printer for contemporary Canadian photographer Ed Burtynsky, working as an animator, and even specializing in electrical engineering custom lighting tools.

The balance of technical and aesthetic sensibilities is what sets Josh apart from most cinematographers and will often find himself building his own tools rather than settling on the readymade solution.

Josh currently works as a Director of Photography and Camera Operator in Toronto Canada.
